Why Mind Fitness ?

As we decide to orient and train our minds to be self-supportive through the Mind Fitness program, we begin to secure our primary mental health, encouraging us to stretch to new levels of personal development and life satisfaction. This fuller spectrum of mental and emotional wellbeing underlies the notion that life can be and is more than good when you focus on your physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. You can move towards increased awareness, a sense of joy, flourishing even, opening the door to doing for yourself and for others. As we understand our mental health and wellness, we can reach out to others in supportive and loving ways.

Mind Fitness is Mental Fitness for your brain

It’s challenging to be a kind and contributing person when we are mentally in distress. We are more likely to be anxious, irritated, depressed and low energy. Being mentally healthy does not mean life will be as you want each moment. Certainly not. Instead, it means you will be training your intentions to live with an attitude of options to make the best choices of what is being presented. From there, life becomes more than a downward slope of resignations of just getting by and coping. It has options in it, and you are the choice maker. Mind Fitness 2.0 offers a daily mental health approach where you are orienting yourself to stay balanced and in time to thrive in the life you are living.

The research of the past couple of decades has significantly confirmed the essential direction that personal wellbeing is the product of the thoughts we think and the attitudes we adopt. We are indeed the products of our minds and emotions, and daily care of both is essential in learning to live a more stable and fulfilled life. It is ever so true that how you think is how you live. Given that, it is vital for our happiness and society’s wellbeing to guide and train our minds to think in healthy, optimal ways.

This attitude was reinforced years ago by the world-famous brilliant astrophysicist Dr. Stephen Hawking, who had developed ALS that left him immobilized and without voice. He awakened me to a new possibility of human consciousness. When asked, “Are you mentally depressed often with your illness?” he replied with his synthesized voice and a crooked smile, “With a physical condition like this, why would anyone want to aggravate it with a mental condition like depression?”
